how many of ya use the primos can call

I used it for the first time this year and it is the way to go. i have had bucks and does come in to check it out. I thought it was amazing when i would use the can call with a grunt call. it would send the bucks a running. just wondering if anyone else enjoys it as much as i do. 3 more months. then i get to do it all over again.

I have used it and agree that they work how ever I have had two and both fail to work in low temps 40 & below they stick.... Wish they would make one that would work all the time!!!!

Any suggestions on how to fix this problem ? Is it temps or do they dry out and start to stick ??? two both last a short time not even 1 season before they started to stick.

I've had limited success with "The Can" had a buddy kill a nice buck last year with one though. 3rd time he called to the same deer he came running in.
Can you still get these cans at Cracker Barrel? You know the Restaraunt, they were a kids toy and could be bought for like 50 cents. Check it out next time you're in the restaraunt, it might save you a few bucks, while aiding in killing a buck.

Just bought one last week. Do they wear out or stick from age or overall use? I put it on the shelf but my kids love the thing. I would hate to have them wear it out before I get a chance to use it. If you've seen them use it on the videos you know that they can do amazing things. I just wonder how many times they get ignored like a grunt call? I guess I'll find out come October. Maggs.
 
I put a thread on hear last fall about the can I bought from Cracker Barrel for $2.99. Used it to bring four bucks to the base of my tree, they were all 1 1/2 year olds, but it did work really well. Another toy in the arsenal.

I tried one last fall on several occasions and didn't get much of a response. Any one have any suggestions on how to us it to bring in mature bucks? Does it work better used alone or with a grunt call?
 
I also used one last fall with limited sucess getting the thing to work right. I replaced the first one because it would stick and sound awful. The second one did the same thing. I think the can is a good tool in the arsenal but primo's need to do some work on the product if they want to keep selling them. I am going to replace it for the third time to see if the third time is a charm! Maybe I'll try the cracker barrel brand. We troopers spend alot of time there anyway! HA!
 
I bought one last year and it sounds and works perfectly. However, most of the time I used it I got virtually no response. The only time I got a clear response was when I sent a couple of does and a small buck on a dead run away from my stand

It's still in my backpack and I'll try it again, but if I see ole' mossy horns out there I won't risk it.
 
I had the same problems as MXZ, at low temps it doesn't work very well. My guess is the o-ring strinks just enough to cause it not to slide as it should. I gave mine to the kids to play with.

I bought a bunch of them at a Walmart in Indianapolis last year for 25 cents each. Also bought a bunch of grunt tubes for a 50 cents each. Haven't tried them yet.
