How Many Pins

I put a Spott Hogg site on a new Hoyt CyberTec bow recently. The sight has five pins. I am finding that I can use one pin to about 25 yards, a second pin up to 35 yards. I switched to carbon arrows and I am not experiencing alot of drop up to these distances.I am probably going to use a third pin at a range to 45 yards even though I know that is a questionable range. What about the other two pins? I know I am no expert is setting up my sight and will soon seek expert advice but am really wantinmg to know how many pins guys are using.

One pin set at 25 yards.

If I had more I'd be confused.

I also use 3 pins and that's only because of 3-D shooting. I really like those spot hoggs but have held off so far. Can you remove any of those pins? For me the thought of looking through 5 tightly grouped pins is the only draw back to the hogg. Oh and trying to explain to my wife why it's so important to have a hundred dollar sight.

if you can't remove them, put them at the very bottom of the sight that way they are more out of the picture.

Rack, you are always confused.

I am a two pin guy. One at 25 yds and one at 45 yds. The 25 yard pin does everything I need for hunting.

And the 45 is for losing arrows when you feel cocky and say, " No problem, I can hit it from here. Piece of cake!"

(moments later...)

Thanks for the replies to my post.
I have easily removed four pins and have been practicing with one pin only. I think I will add a second pin back to the sight though. One up to 20-25 and one at 35. The Spott-Hogg is pretty easy to work with considering how inept I am with tools other than golf club type tools.
I am not yet shooting 3-d so having 5 pins didn't make sense. Thanks again.
