How to increase the number of bucks….

These are a couple of random thoughts with little serious research.

Prevent the use of more cross bows. It’s hard to allow greatly increased use of something and then try to take it away. Don’t wait on this.

Shorten the deer season….consider starting later, ending earlier, shorten seasons, schedule a couple of off (closed season) days here and there.

Come up with a few ideas that can be put into law, get some support, get organized, take the ideas to the legislature.

End party hunting (being able to shoot a buck and put someone elses tag on it)

Edit: I dont mind the group hunting, but your buck tag should be your tag only.

Iowa does have 5-6 weeks of gun season total..Weapons now are so advanced, it's equal to 5-6 weeks of a high powered centerfire rifle season. Lots of bucks are shot late season this way.
