Went to a local pub this eve for a beer.
Was no chance of rain. Had all windows down in truck.
A pop_up came and dropped 3/4" in 20 minutes.

By the time I noticed, too late. My interior was a mess.
Left for my cabin 5 minutes away. Not a drop.

Now, even with the key pulled, my dash lights still stay on?
Wierd.
Had to unplug the battery.
Got about 200 pumpkin plants in the ground today. Would normally wait till the 10th but we had 1.25"inches the past week and not much predicted so I figgered, make use of the soil moisture.

I’ve heard it many times this year. Thunder, lightning and very little to no rain ? It’s only June …sounds more like late July type storms !

Drought could be a bad one !! We were fortunate to get an inch of rain in my part of Minnesota.

Missed some areas that really need it

Not as much as id like to see but I'm not gonna complain.
It's been OK.
Others nearby are in dire need.
About 1/2 of my pumpkins are up. Think I just planted them last Sunday?
Granted, I gave each about a quart of water whilst planting.

Sure feels nice sittn on my deck in my skivies drinking beer and not sweating.
About 75 here now and the sky is rumblings.
1/2" would be nice.
On a side note, I just mowed my Ladino Clover field a week ago today.
It back to 7_9" right now!
Holy crap has it exploded! Honey bees galore. Love it.

Wow...., in the past 20 minutes since I last posted, the sky OPENED UP.
thank you Lord!!.
It's freeking pouring.
Dammit, I have a Ribeye on the grill and it needs flipping.. (grin)
Guess I'm gonna get wet. Lol.

Very dry here now. And next 3 days are predicting 90* temps.
Hand watered about 400 pumpkins today by bucket.
Each about a gallon.
Started early this morning but WOW, did the respond today!
I'd say they (most) put on 2 " of growth today.
Looks like starting Thursday and for 5 days, we could get some much needed rains.
I'd be stressed out now if I raised crops for a living!!.

How you all faring?

3/4 inch last evening in Western Iowa!

Minnesota I had a farm get .6 and another got a little over 1/4 inch.
