Was in ringgolld county today and saw NOTHING but bucks chasing heavily on does. Had plenty of 150+ deer come running in but no shots. I shot a 10 point buck I'm guessing 135-140" range?? First bow kill buck ever!!
 
Congrats. Had pretty good action today also. Rattled in a 140" 8 this morning that I didn't get a shot at. And 140" 10 tonight that busted me. Wind was blowing stupid crazy tonight. The buck was the only thing I saw. Ringgold county here also.
 
I was in Southern Ia since last Friday and didn't even see any chasing at all. The bucks where just sniffing around and some where paired up with does. We usually go down around the 8th -15th or so and get into lockdown most the time. Still see some action though. This year decided to go a week earlier and it seemed like it needed a week yet to get going. My spot around Boone is total lockdown right now.
 
Will put pics up tomorrow from my office:). I saw a TON of shooters back to back to back. Makes time fly by when your seeing so many bucks. I told myself first 130"+ buck for my first bow kill woulda me me
Happy. I had a close to 200" 12 run right under me but he was chasing a doe that was running for her life! Never seen so hard of a chase
 
In Adams Co this morning had a tall tyned eight pointer running a doe ragged this morning for a hour or so was fun to watch still holding off for my 12 pointer though
 
Was in the stand from 6-9 this morning in NE Iowa. One nice buck came in to grunts and some rattles, no shot unfortunately though. He was the only thing I saw moving all morning.
