I'm considering it. Problem is Garth recommends an area and every subscriber jumps on it and drives the odds down.

Thats the flyer danno! I plan on hunting more outwest in the next couple of years DIY type trips, so if you could get into some good areas 100$ would be an awesome deal!

I subscribed years ago when Garth claimed his subscription base was limited. There use to be an area I applied for in Wyoming that he started recommending. The year he recommended it the drawing odds went from about 45% to around 6%. At the same time I gave him a couple names of ranchers that would be willing to pack him into a certain area for elk that he was considering. Just so happened that fall he killed a very large elk so I called up to see if he killed it in the area we talked about or had talked to the ranchers whose names I'd given him. He went silent and wouldn't share any info at all.

Figured he was saving the cream for his special clients and his mag was distorting the odds for anyone that did their own work and decided it was time to bow out. Been a long time ago his mags are a lot fancier now use to be about a 10 pages of copied material. Just figure that any info you see is seen by a lot of other folks, as evidenced by the number of people on this forum that got his recent mass mailing.

Probably a little more valuable than a high end hunting magazine? Probably a lot of good info but my personal info is that its read by enough other people it probably not worth the $100 premium unless your consistently hunting multiple states every year.

Give me a $100 bucks DOR and I will find you a good spot.

All this stuff is on the internet on each states website. You can get access to this information (draw odds, harvest %, hunter sucess rate, years to draw etc. etc.) without having to pay Goober.
