Hunter injured in Page County on Saturday
A Grinnell man was injured late Saturday afternoon when the gun he was handling discharged into his foot.
Benjamin Parker, 35, had just finished hunting four miles northeast of Braddyville in Page County when his gun became entangled in some bags he was carrying and discharged a deer slug into his right foot.
He was taken to Clarinda Regional Health Center then transferred to Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines where he was being treated for a non-life threatening injury.
