I really enjoyed your writing. You hit the nail on the head. It can be easy to forget what the hunt REALLY means to us.
 
WOW, can anyone say publish. I hope this story is protected. I would not be surprize at all if there is a request from some hunting magazine to print that great story. Then to add to the great passion of your writing you have that sweet picture. WOW

I'm glad you liked it. Field and Stream turned it down - too spiritual I think - and I had the feeling that all the magazines would think that, so I put it here so some people could read it. The one I'm working on now is better I think, very animal instinct-like, but maybe too visceral to be published mainstream. We'll see. If not, then it might end up in the book I'm very slowly working on, as artwork is taking up most of my time right now.
