hunting in Iowa

How difficult is it to get drawn for a hunt? I have went to school in Marshall's town. is there public land in that area?

Depending on what season and zone probably take you 2-4 years. Get on the www.iowadnr.com and go to the places to hunt and shoot tab. Look up wildlife areas by county. Find which ones have a good amount of public that look good to you and then look up what zone it is and start applying.

I can tell you not to waste your time trying to hunt in Marshall county. If you plan on spending the money apply for NE or SE iowa. I am from Marshall county and I don't even hunt it.
