Just wondering where everyone gets their gear from, big stores,(cabelas-Bass pro) etc, or is their some online stores you like to use for your gear and goodies.
Thanks

All of the iowawhitetail sponsors carry top of the line hunting equipment. Please check them out.

Between Santa and a recent birthday, I got a lot of hunting equipment.

I usually shop locally as I like to walk out of the store with my purchases, a personal hang up that might cost me a few bucks.

Mostly Gander Mtn, Scheels and Sportsman Wharehouse.

If you were going to buy a high quality garmet ( one that will last you more than a couple of years) I'd check into Grey Wolf Linens, which are a sponsor on this site.

Good Luck

Cabelas basically sucks, high priced and no great deals to be had. Happened about the time they went public with their stock and turned into a family vacation tourist stop. This was also about the same time the beloved outlet center closed at Owatonna.Someone has to pay for all of the expensive decor and animal mounts. I also don't like the ads that Cabelas runs in IA publications encouraging land owners to sell their timbers to Cabelas so that they can sell it to wealthy non-residents and also for the leased guiding business. I give my money to Sportsmans Warehouse, Gander Mountain, Gray Wolf Woolens, and my local proshops.

Scheel's, and a couple little local shops. I have gotten good deals on-line also, but I'm always nervous that what I think ordered and what I get might not be the same. I've never had a problem but am still gun-shy about it.
Off subject- if your looking for computer stuff, check out "tigerdirect.com" they have done me right.

I've had very good luck with Cabela's clothing, and I get most of my clothes from there. Although I've been looking pretty hard at the Grey Wolf Woolens. I also have bought quite a few things at Scheels. I also try to buy things at smaller proshops to try to spread it around. I'll get some things at Gander Mtn, but only if I know what I want. I haven't been too impressed with their employee knowledge on products.

I buy almost all of my hunting clothing from Cabela's. Not because I don't support my local stores but because they are about the only place that offers a selection of tall sizes. And if I have any problems with anything they have terrific customer service.

I bought a pair of boots that came apart on me after two years wear. I was diappointed because I've had other pairs of boots from the same maker and they have always help up a long time. Cabela's took them back with no complaint and replaced them with a new pair of boots. Try getting Scheel's or Sportsman's Warehouse to do that!

Scheel's seems to be very over priced. I prefer Cabelas because the customer service is great. I had ordered a scope that cost $350 and it was back ordered for three weeks. They ended up sending me $450 scope because I had to wait so long. I don’t like the fact they try to buy up the hunting ground and charge big money for a guided hunt, but they have others beat when it comes to customer service. I also like Sportsman’s Warehouse, there gun guys don’t seem to know much but there prices aren’t too bad. I bout a pair of Swarovski binoculars(8x32) I took them home for two week and brought them back and got the 10x42 for the price difference. So I feel that it’s a tie between Sportsman’s and Cabelas.
