I-35 Game Spy

I bought a new I-35 game spy from Moultrie a few weeks ago after my D-40 gave out after a few years. I was excited to see how the IR would work. With the flash on the night pictures are so bright that you can't see a thing. With it off its just a black screen. Anyone know if I'm going anything wrong or is it just a poor camera?

never had one of them I prefer the IR i have several of the 55 IR and I love them the battery life is great and they take great pictures

I'm being told that its a defect in the camera and it can be sent in to fix but will take 6-8 weeks. I had around 40 pictures one night with just a black screen. Makes you wonder what you're missing.

I bought a couple of those from Bass Pro, one was defective so I took it back for an exchange and was informed that Moultrie has pulled this model off the shelves. Too many defects that the model has been discontinued...

I was told the i40 was a great camera to buy three years ago, and it has been the biggest piece of junk! Too many problems to list. However, while looking at some of the problems I have heard that their are updates you can install for the i40 to fix issues like what you are experiencing. Maybe not if it is pretty new? Let us know what you find.
