that morel map is pretty cool. so when some one finds some around here they will put a dot in our area then?

Thats just wrong. You should have seen my jaw hit the floor when I seen that thread name.

I should hunt you down and take your mushroom hunting property.

LMAO!!!!

Must agree with everyone above...that just ain't right to be pullin that kind of Tom Foolery at this time of the year, especially with the weather we have.

BTW, with the weather cooling down, I think it will push the shroom season back to normal...so we won't be finding much for a couple weeks yet.

Laugh if you want, but I have found them this early. Also was with Shovelbuck the first week of June when he found a couple of late bloomers. For the most part though,,, it is close

i got out today to my gray honey hole and didnt find anything yet. i think that this tues. or wed. they should be pretty plentiful around my area, hopefully

they are finding them in Missouri
i know that for sure.....
i am getting hungry though....

Does any wildlife eat these things up? Where I found these, it looked like several others were "missing". Several heads missing off of stems and lots of bare dirt holes like when squirrels dig up nuts. Lots of deer tracks around, no people tracks.

Yeah deer will eat them, So how far south is Linn county?

I found them 50 miles straight south of Kansas City.

man this snow sucks. i was hoping to be finding morels by now. who knows how long it will take for them to get up now, hopefully the 60's they are talking about will stay around for a while and make the ground warm up again.
