Roger says he took the pics in eastern Iowa, was on the buck for 2 1/2 hours. There is a doe on the other side of the fence/hedge row, he has a swollen right eye from fighting with a big 14 pointer.
To get this buck to look back and pause Roger was yipping like a coyote, crazy but true.
The sad story to this buck was he was poached the next year.
Just a side note, Roger is quite an individual and can tell a story about every deer he has ever photographed.
