thanks Sean - ya, i've had the camera set up in the fenceline north of the house. It's about a 7 iron away from the front door. My problem is I get too damn anxious to check the camera (usually every other day). probably better pictures if I waited atleast a week or two. Day 15 since the reported cougar crossed the road in front of the house and still no sign of him. Pretty crazy stuff goin on around here. I better look into putting up a cougar proof fence around the yard so the dog stays safe. I'll keep posting here to give you a taste of back home. It looks like your bro has got a nice one to contend with this fall.I hope he gets him. Take care.
Hey Matt, Thats a nice buck. I doubt there is a cougar. So many times shed hunting and noone has seen it. Good luck this Fall. It will be here before we know it and I can not wait. I have my camara out at the same spot hoping I get another picture of the buck without velvet.
i believe those are his G-2's. Very similar genetics to the buck i shot last year with the G-3's longer than the 2's. This picture was taken less than 20 yds. from where i shot the one last year. This buck has less mass and is minus the droptine, but his tine length is better. Thanks Nicerack - now could you just turn the deer in the picture so we could get a head on shot of him? I wish we could do that, maybe I'll get working on that one.
