I am looking at purchasing a Knight Wolverine. It is a full camo with a stainless steel barrell. The guy is going home to get it and I am gonna look at it in 3 weeks. I just got off the phone with the guy and we talked about hunting for a while. He was telling me about the gun and here is what he said..."It shoots great, it is missing the nipple removal tool which is like 5 dollars, it is the original Wolverine and doesn't use 209 primers, and there is a little spot rust on the barrel." The only thing that is holding me up right now from buying the gun is the spot rust on the barrel, I would think if it is stainless steel then it would have to be pretty miss treated to be rusted, what do you guys all think? A Knight Wolverine full camo w/ stainless steel barrel for $150.00??

I have no idea what the gun is worth but a little bit of rust on a stainless gun is not really unusual, especially with black powder. As long as the surface is not noticably pitted I wouldnt worry about it to much. I would be more concerned about the inside of the barrel. Just my $.02.

A good .02 cents worth of advice.

The rust has me concerned too, especially since it is SS and especially since it is a black powder gun. Since it is blackpower, it needs a lot of attention when cleaning. If that is all of the better job that he did cleaning the outside of it, I would be extremely concerned about the rest of the gun too. How does he clean the breach plug and nipple without removing it?

Thanks guys, after going to the Classic this weekend I think my dad is just going to get a new gun, maybe one of thoes new TC Pro Hunters, WOW were they awesome to hold!!!!

Yeah, I would go with one of the new ones, alot of nice guns out there for a few hundred bucks
