I never learn

For the second time this week I have had a shooter walk in on me setting up in my stand. Both times were within minutes of me climbing and both caught me off guard.

That's how they become shooters. very stealthy and cautious. I've had the same thing many times but one I will never forget happened to me 3 years ago on a morning after a rain so no leaf crunching. it was noon and I was taking a seat. I looked down and there stood a beutiful 180 class dark antlered 8. Never gave me a shot & eventually busted me. Never will forget those 3 minutes.

Yup, I had a real nice 10 sneak in on me this year... I was going to get a drink and when I turned to my pack to get it there he was, 7 yards away looking right at me, heartbreaking.
