THE IBA SPRING BANQUET IS FAST APPROACHING, march 5th, AND ALL OF YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT WE WILL BE AUCTIONING FIVE (5) HUNTS THIS YEAR.

1. A WYOMING ANTELOPE HUNT
2. A CANADA BEAR HUNT
3. A COLORADO ELK HUNT
4. AN OKALHOMA HOG HUNT
5. A (2 PERSON) COLOARDO ELK HUNT (THIS IS A PACK IN WILDERNESS HUNT, 7 DAYS, 5 FULL DAYS OF HUNTING YOU FURNISH ELK LICENSE .PERSONAL GEAR AND TRANSPORTATION THERE)

A few days ago IBA President Tommy Thompson sent a list of the hunts that have been donated and will be auctioned at the 2011 IBA Spring Banquet.

Several requests have come in for more information, so here it is

For all hunts the winner of an auction may be responsible for hunting licenses, tags, hunter safety requirements, etc.

For the Canada hunt, it’s a good idea to have your passport. Getting a passport may take up to 8 weeks to obtain.

ANTELOPE HUNT
The antelope hunt is with Ridgemaster Outfitting in Wyoming. This hunt consists of a fully guided 5 day hunt valued at $1,450. Location of the camp is 10 miles N of Casper Wyoming on 100,000+ acres of private land along with hunts on BLM lands.The winning hunter is responsible for his/her own gear, (i.e.: sleeping bag, clothing, toiletries, etc.) Winning hunter is also responsible for obtaining the archery tags.http://ridgemastersoutfitting.com


BEAR HUNT
The Bear Hunt is a Nipligon River Bear Hunt, location is on the North Shore of Lake Superior, Hwy 17, Nipigon Ontario, Canada. This is a 6 day hunt, Sept 3-10 of 2011, fully guided valued at $2,000. Accommodations for (6 days and Nights). Trophy care and freezing furnished, hunter responsible for bear license. www.nipigonriverbearhunt.com

HOG HUNT
The hog hunt is with River View Ranch/Bow Safari, this hunt is valued at $1,000. The hunt is for two (2) people for two (2) days with two (2) nights lodging. Each hunter may take a meat hog (under 125#) and a Trophy hog (over 125#).The winning hunter is required to furnish their own bed roll and food.Superior lodge facilities are available including full kitchen, room, & skinning facilities. All transportation furnished to and from standsand River View Ranch staff will track your animal and use their dogs at no extra cost to retrieve your animal. Arrangements can be made to stay longer and/or take more animals at your expense. ELK HUNT
The one man elk hunt is Great River Outfitters, this hunt is a seven (7) day drop camp elk hunt value $1,500.Sleeping and cook tent with all cooking utensils, pots and pans, etc in place.Winning hunter provides their own food, sleeping bag and this is a non guided drop camp. Winning hunter encouraged too bring along a hunting buddy at the cost of $1,500.The camp accommodates up to six hunters. Hunter is responsible for archery tags & hunt must be booked one week after purchase. http://www.greatdivideoutfitters.com

TWO PERSON ELK HUNT
This hunt is different than any hunt ever offered for auction by the IBA. It has a minimum bid that goes to the outfitter.The 2 person Elk Hunt is with Arapaho Wilderness Outfitters. This hunt value is valued at $6,800 and must be used in the 2011 archery season.This is a Colorado hunt, within Colorado’s rugged Indian Peak Wilderness Area of the Arapaho National Forest. This area is accessible only by Foot, Boat, or Horseback.This is a 7 day hunt which includes your pack in/out, guide, horses and pack animals for the duration of your stay, tents, cots, three (3) meals a day, and game retrieval. Hunter is responsible for his/her transportation to the trailhead, and archery tags.
