IBA banquet tickets

The wife and I were coming down from MN tomorrow morning for the Classic and then to the IBA banquet but with the road conditions who knows if we'll be able to make it or not. If the roads stay closed, then obviously not, if they open them we'll have to consider our options depending on the condition of I-35. If we can't make it, I have 2 tickets for the IBA banquet at Muddys table. Any takers? The problem will be that we won't know if we're coming or not until Saturday morning. Paid 70 bucks for the 2 tickets, will take 35 if anyone wants them if we can't make it.

Will keep you posted tomorrow on our status.

THIS SUCKS.

if the tickets are in your pocket, they won't be of any good to anybody but you.

Muddy has them, sorry, should have mentioned that - I was going to meet him at the banquet, if I end up not coming I'll put the lucky buyer in touch with him. Hopefully none of this is an issue and we get to come!

not looking good for those of us coming in from the north or west. maybe by tomorrow the plows will get out. in rural areas, i doubt the plows will run until the wind lets up

Is wind the major issue right now? Have you or are you getting a lot of snow with this storm? Drifting real bad, ice, snow, all of it? Are they not even plowing the closed roads right now?

Last I heard they are not plowing right now.Roads are driffting back over after they go through. Were going to wait till the winds die down.

Existing snow and high winds are the problem. If you're just driving east/west it's not too bad but once you turn north/south its difficult to see with the blowing snow. From what I've been told, if you decide to travel a closed road and get into trouble you're $hit out of luck and the highway patrol won't feel sorry for you!

With that being said, and with the blizzard warning extended I'm headed for the basement to pour me a drink and catch up on some hunting magazine reading

. Hey, I can drink alone......

Hopefully they'll reopen the interstates tomorrow and everyone stuck today can get into the Classic tomorrow or Sunday.

We won't know for sure until tomorrow if we're coming or not so I'll have to keep you guys updated that are interested. If I-35 opens we'll probably make a run for it depending on the conditions....it's all just a big "if" right now. We'll know if we're coming or not by about 11 tomorrow morning (we planned on leaving much earlier in the day!) Those of you interested PM me your phone numbers so I can call you if we can't make it. First poster intersted about them gets first dibs I guess. Hopefully we can make it though!!!

Wife and I are making a run for it - not sure if it's the smartest thing to do or not, but I would guess by the time we get to the Iowa border I would hope that they would have 35 open - the sunshine should help things with the ice on the roads. For you two guys wanting my IBA tickets I don't know how I'll get in touch with you if we can't make it since I don't have your phone numbers. You could call me around 1 or 2 if you want and I can tell you if I can make it or not (that's if it's not too late for you to leave for the banquet).
