Without putting mineral/salt licks/corn bait in general. I can't put up a tree like 6x6 does because it's not my property and he doesn't want that to be put in because the landowner doesn't want anymore deer attracted to his place. Is there a way I can get them to stop for a picture? I'll put up it up over a natural scrape later this year and hope to get good pictures. All of my cams will be on this property in September after our property is harvested. Or will I just have to wait for when they have a scrape?

I've had pretty good luck pointing them down into a creek bottom at a good crossing. Seems like they will usually pause in the bottom for a moment before continuing on.

Get a curiosity scent and put in the ground. Of I have heard of guys peeing in front of cam. I have tried it and it worked. The stop and seem unalarmed. Kinda weird but hey it worked. Any sort of deer , fox, coyote urine would pry make stop too. I pry wouldn't put doe in heat out now tho. Good luck

I understand the farmer from a misinformed point of view (if that makes sense). The attractant or mineral is not going to bring "more" deer. You will possibly attract some of the deer on the farm, but there is no special mineral or scent that is going to attract deers from miles away like many hope for (except for this farmer).

Lesson from experience.. Make sure your cam is OFF before doing this..

sometime its as simle as laying a branch across a trail and blocking it just a little bit to get them to walk around it .. One time i had a camera on a fencepost shooting a crp field where 3 trails connected , most of the deer would walk past the cam too quickly and most pictures were blurry at night.. There was a a tree that had been cut down not to far away on the fenceline so i took a big log stump and stuck in right in the middle of where the 3 trails connected in front of my camera in the crp. I was amazed that almost every deer after that would stop and smell and investigate the log before moving on. worked great for picts. might help ya some.. or like someone already said, try a water source.

Put a scent wick out with apple scent or some sort of attractant odor on it that would pique their curiosity. Should work for a short time at least

Are deer using this crossing and you not getting the desired amount of pics? Or are you catching the ass end of them? Maybe change the camera angle if you can.

I believe in using your own urine, been doing it for close to 20 years. Make a mock scrape now and whizz in it, the buck will check it out and pose for you. I've done this starting in early June and had buck checking it in no time.

Ass end, I changed it but it didn't help.

There's a lot of curiosity scents out there that if used right a guy can start mock scrapes in August and have deer hit them all year.
