Ignorance

At first I thought it was research into a type of deer ie: sitka, red, roe, fallow etc. I knew there was a critter called a nutria but I didn't think it was a deer. I consulted Dr. Google. So unless they crossed a whitetail with a nutria they are indeed conducting what some would call "research" on the theoretical supplemental nutritional needs of a wild whitetail population from an observation tower also know as a ladder stand.

I look forward to the research when it is published and in particular how they controlled all the variables this study would entail.

Perhaps their plan is to use that line of BS on the Conservation Officer that wants to do research on their research methods as they write him a ticket.

Nothing until they try to hunt from that stand.

Edit: only if there is active food in that spot during hunting season.

BTW, the baiting bill did not make the funnel so theoretically it is dead for this year. It wouldn't surprise me to see it come around again this session but it would take a lot of wrangling to do it.

Cover the nutra deer site with multiple layers of tarp, plywood, tarp, etc. and simply assert at least one of the layers was placed prior to season. All legal!
