Once again I carried my doe tag all season so I could keep going out. Old man winter has hit with a vengence. We have 18" of snow now and it is supposed to keep coming. Spent 3hrs in a stand on Sat. with -30 temps, saw 5 bucks and a few does and literally froze despite 5 layers and heat packs galore. If th cold seperates the men from the boys....I'm a boy.

I'm now down to 2 Saturdays and still have a doe tag and an either sex tag for the forest....trouble is I'm not sure how bad I want to field dress anything and drag it out through all that snow. Maybe shooting a doe in Oct. isn't such a bad idea after all.

I have an archery antlerless tag left and the season is quite a ways from being over. I have good intentions of trying to fill it over the Christmas holiday, but I bet the "cold" weather will "separate the men from the boys" here also. No way will it be as cold as what you are facing! Shoot, I got cold bow hunting in the extremely mild weather we have been having.

When I cleaned out my backpack this fall, I found an archery antlerless tag that I lost the motivation to fill after filling my buck tag last year. Something tells me the current tag might join it.

I bought an extra doe tag for bow this year and had plenty of yearlings come by but wanted someting with more meat! Also only had one chance at a shooter, that did not give me a shot, but every dink buck came into range. Was just thinking in the stand yesterday that I hope after gun season is over that the weather will allow me to get back out to try to fill them.

I bought 9 archery anterless tags and only have 1 left. Hoping to fill that during the late season. Then again I have 6 anterless late muzzy tags also

Might be busy this late season.
