Part of what I love about this site is the ability to learn as well as share information with others. Not to mention the great friendships I have made strickly because of hanging around here.
At any rate, here is some sharing of information about I/R cams...I'm a camera addict if you didn't already know. (I won't go into all my other addictions at this time, my fingers would get as tired as Bonker's did during the typing of the latest IBA release.)
Setting The Scene
Creek Bottom, the corn dump after work, and a couple of beers to wind down before homework/cooking supper for the kids.
Old Doe
Probably a 10+ year old doe, note the brisket, fat gut, high shoulders, and the horse head...she probably loves the fact that I'm feeding ground corn from the cattle bulk bin, due to her lack of corn grinders!
PIEBALD
I've been seeing a lot of Piebald posts on different sites lately...it is I/R flash wash out...I took 650 pictures with this I/R cam this week and most are a POS as far as quality.
Target Distance
If you are shooting over set feed for herd evaluation purposes...the distance from an I/R cam is critical...Note the difference in these two bucks that are different distances from the cam. My corn dump tonight has been adjusted for better quality pictures.
Got to go now...Gabe and I are working on our fourth Legendary Whitetails jig saw puzzle... Later!
