Last evening, ILdeerslayer and myself went to a farm we have limited access to. Not knowing exactly where to set up, we decided to just head down to the creek bottoms. About 3/4 of the way down the hill, ILdeerslayer pointed out some coyotes at the bottom of the hill about 60 yards away. I removed the climber from my back and used it as a blind and loaded an arrow in my bow. Ildeerslayer hid behind a tree and I began squeeking like a mouse in distress. In short of 20 seconds, we had at least 6 different coyotes within 20 yards looking for a meal. In short, all left the area unscathed (both of us missed under 10 yard shots)
. I'm out an X7 arrow (broke) and montec broadhead (in a tree). Ildeerslayer found his arrow intact. That is it, nothing else came around after the coyotes. Looks like they need thinning if there are that many on the prowl.
