Iowa Dove Season

This Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Jan. 7-9) at The Iowa Sportsman Outdoors Show- The Iowa Sportsman booth will have a petition for a dove season in Iowa for anyone interested to sign to show the Iowa House, Iowa Senate and Governor Brandstad that Iowa wants a Dove Hunting Bill in 2011!

*Doves are the No. 1 game birds in the United States
*Iowa is the only state, west of the Mississippi that doesn't have a dove season
*Pheasant and quail are a limited resource in Iowa, while dove are plentiful
*In order to ensure the young people of Iowa have something to hunt and ensure the future of hunting.
