ive only been on this site for acouple months and im very curious about somethings that maybe someone can help me better understand whats going on... i read all the time about pouchers and all the problems with the dnr and they never change ive gone through past posting and it seems like its a yearly thing so why dont things change im not trying to put the guys down that are trying to make things better because i know without you things would be worse and as being a young hunter i really appreiate the things you guys have done but there as to be more WE as hunters can do...

The problem comes from the lack of resources. The state budget doesn't allow for enough CPOs to be able to monitor the entire state throughly. The current CPOs do everything they can to bring down poachers, but with the lack of resources they just can't possibly cover the areas they are assigned well enough to stop all the poaching. Without the CPOs then the hunters must take a stand and report the inicidents that you see. I know we have had similar instances in IL and after a few reports about a local group we quit having the problems on or near or property.
