Mark shot a nice elk with his bow. They are still out there trying to get Matt one.

Nice bull……. :way:

I hope they only had to pack him down the mountain a short ways to a pack string of horses?

I packed one on those elk out of the mountains in Wyoming on my back many years ago. Took me four days to get the meat all out, and I had another hunter helping me the last two days.

That's awesome. Well deserved also. My youngest went to a camp Ironside put on this summer and I was thoroughly impressed with how he handled the kids and all that he was able to teach them in a short amount of time. Glad to see that he's also a stick and string guy!

Beauty!!!!!

Those guys have to be brothers.

Kaare,
Matt and Mark Ironside. Both are great guys.

Here is Mark's bio from the Iowa Wrestling Hall of Fame... :way:

Yea about the only thing Mark likes doing better than hunting is teaching kids how to wrestle. Very patient.

Who needs horses when you were trained by the best. I'm sure those two are still in tip top shape and probably made quick work of that elk.
