Is now the time?

Looking to frost seed some perennial clover in southern ia. Going down to shed hunt the next two weekends and thought about spreading some seed also. Is it too early? Never frost seeded before. Seems like now is the time as far as weather goes, but its still only February. We all know things can change fast around here.

Now is a fine time to frost seed in southern Iowa. If there was still a snow cover of say more than 4" or 5" I would probably wait. But since there is little to no snow cover right now, I would be very comfortable frost seeding clover now.

I have done it many times over the years anywhere from Mid-February on.
