I80 from Jordan Creek to Omaha is closed and I35 from Ankeny to MN border is closed. Quite a few small hwys are closed. Are the vendors going to make it? KCCI.com has a list of cancellations but doesn't show the Deer Classic closed yet. Damn near everything in Des Moines is cancelled or closed. I got buddies coming up from MO to stay in Des Moines for two nights with us for the Classic. What do you think; is it on????
 
Still on.They just had the events guy and Byron Ferguson live on the radio,and said they have been setting up for several days and ready to go!!

I did hear from an official scorer that alot of the scorers that usually come down from Minnesota aren't going to make it down. It is going to make the scorers that do make it very busy

I would expect that tonight will be light on attenders and some vendors. Tomorrow and Sunday should be fine.
 
Has anyone been one I35 north recently. I'm in ames and I've been countin down to this weekend for months. If I can't get there because the roads are closed I'm gonna freak out! Will some of the roads open up by tomorrow, does anyone know?
 
Omaha is still very bad this a.m. Hopefully the main roads will open up today otherwise I'm not coming this year. That would SUCK!
 
I live in Badger and we are getting ready to head down to set up today. It will be a long slow trip though. We have been seeing plows come through town this morning now so hopefully we can follow one down to Des Moines.

We have to make it from Boone to Grimes to drop off our boy. If I have to gravel it all the way I will. I just have to get across the River and then Idon't care how I am getting there.
 
go ahead and give that a try. 40 mph+ winds all night long. hope the nationaly guard can find you
 
I think Team Camo is going to wait til Saturday to visit the Classic. We're planning on coming in as far as the Sheraton tonight, for the IBA hangout. Maybe hang around a bit longer and meet more of the IW people after the Classic closes for the night.
