ISO setting on a p41

I think most people set their ISO on 400. I tried that and night pics looked good, but maybe a little grainy. I was wondering if anybody has tried setting the ISO to auto and if so, how did that setting work out for night pics? Does it cause the cam to be any slower? I have read that setting focus to auto can slow the cam down because its trying to focus at night, just not sure about ISO.

I always had issues with the iso set at auto....I just leave them at 400 I think it will also slow the cam down just a bit but probably not noticeable

I keep ISO at 400. Auto doesn't change the camera speed much for daylight pic's, but slows the cam by over 1 sec in nite pic's. It can also cause blurry nite time pictures.

I had planned to wait a couple weeks to see how battery life was during this cold, but I'll probably go check it in a day or two to see how it looks. Cant seem to wait 2 weeks anyway, lol. Only the ISO is set to auto, the rest is in program mode.
