As January fades away and February comes into view excitement starts to build in every shed hunters mind as the antlers start to fall. We strap on our boots and hit the fields, and timbers for our next find. The lure of the holy grail can be just over the next hill, around the next bend, or under the lonely cedar. Basics to remember are keeping your eyes on the ground constantly searching, and always keep your binoculars close at hand to examine all items that remotely look like antlers. Using binoculars will save a lot of leg work and help you score on a few hard to find sheds. Hot spots to check are fields where deer are feeding, bedding areas, and south facing shelter belts, as well as fence, and creek crossings. This is also a great opportunity to share our love for the great outdoors with young hunters, and future hunters. Don’t forget to take your camera and share your finds in the shed hunting conference. Good luck!
