very nice deer.. i know it's exciting, but be careful you're not going in too often to check your cams or you will quickly notice a decrease in their appearances

Diddo.... Once every couple of weeks if it's easy to get to. They may seem easy going now, but the later it gets they will catch on to you. Buy the biggest memory card your camera will hold and be patient. Checking them on rainy days is a good way of diminishing scent as well :way:

Great bucks and great advice!

I guess the only exception would be if you are also feeding over the summer. Unless you are useing a weatherproof feeder you cant put out enough feed to last a couple weeks. The last thing you want is to hurt your deer by letting them eat too much or eat feed that gets wet and spoiled. If you are feeding for pictures out by the soybeans, away from their bedding area and not bumping them ,and checking your cameras/feed only midday, you should be fine every few days. When they strip off velvet around the first of september you should not be feeding anymore and only glassing the soybeans from a distance. They will go off their pattern and disappear at that time if pressured at all.

I'm feeding midday and going out every 4 days. I usaly take the wet corn/rotten out of the field. Their bedding area is about 600-800 yards North of my cam. I can't feed them past Aug. 18th (Youth season) is in Sept.

I think what you are doing is fine. By now you have a good idea how much they are going thru. Watch the comeing storms and feed accordingly so as to not waste feed, which means making them clean it up before the rain and putting new feed out when its done. Obviously the soybeans are the main food source, you just want the mineral and feed to position them for pictures comeing and going from the beans. Honestly during July-mid august I may check cameras every day or every other day at least.

I'm actualy noticing a increase in their appearances. Because they know where the corns at (plus there's soybeans around) and because they know every 4 days I go out on my four wheeler and give them feed at the same time every 4 days. I had a Doe fallow me 200 yards behind me because she knew I had the corn and there was no corn at the cam. 10mims after I put the card back in she was on my cam (this was this card pull had to make it a day earlier because of the rain).

I'm glad you are having fun with the cameras don't let all the "Know it all's" tell you what to do. Keep posting your great pictures since you and I are the only ones not scared to post pictures.
