JUST COULDN'T SEE MISSING IT!!!!!!!

WELL BELIEVE IT OR NOT I GOT TO GO HUNTING THIS MORNING ON OPENING DAY! MY WIFE HAD ORIGINALLY TOLD ME ABSOLUTELY NOT, NOT UNTIL THE HOUSE WAS LIVEABLE. WELL I COULDN'T SLEEP AT ALL LAST NIGHT THANX TO A BRUTUS JR. SIGHTING ON THE LONG DRIVE HOME AT 1:00 IN THE MORNING, AND AT 5:00 THIS MORNING I WAS FEELING WIDE AWAKE, SO I SLIPPED QUIETLY OUT OF BED, WITHOUT MY WIFE KNOWING, PUT MY CLOTHES ON AND TOOK OFF! ONLY STAYED OUT 'TIL ABOUT 7:45 BUT I DID MANAGE TO SEE 3 DOES AND A SMALL BUCK(a little 4 or 6, to far to tell) RIGHT AT DAWN COMING OUT OF THE CORN FIELD. THOUGHT FOR SURE ONE OF THE DOES WAS GOING TO WALK RIGHT TO ME BUT THE OTHERS HAD TURNED HER ATTENTION THE WAY THEY WERE HEADED! OF COURSE WHEN I GOT HOME THE WIFE WAS UP AND SHE REALLY DIDN'T SAY A WHOLE LOT BECAUSE I ONLY STAYED A SHORT TIME! PROBABLY WON'T GET TO DO THIS AGIAN FOR QUIET SOME TIME, SO I WILL HAVE TO LIVE THE HUNT FROM YA'LLS STORIES! EITHER WAY, IT WAS AWESOME AND GOOD LUCK TO ALL THIS SEASON!

Way to go split. I bet you were wondering what kind of reception you were in for when you got home, sounds like you got that itch scratched a little. Good luck with the house and with your season.

Holy Smokes!!

There is no way I would accept any type of A$$ chewing for going hunting. That is way out of my book. I always tell my wife if she ever gets on me about hunting so much, which rarely happens.... "would you rather me be in the bar?"

After 10 years being married she knows that Oct. 1st means me being gone in the evenings and some mornings until January is over, then come March bowfishing starts up again once the ice is gone and I am not here about as much. Come to think of it.... maybe she hates me being home!!! I wondered why the milk man has been around so much the past few years...

Now I am really thinkin....

HAHAHA Just kiddin.

Good job gettin out without losing any rear end, keep going and enjoy!

Eventually the women get accustomed to you being with mother nature and realize you could be out with much worse.

i was gone alot last year and my wife was really good about it surprisingly. now that we are empty nesters i'm not sure yet how it will go this year with no one home for her to talk to while i'm out.
