I know that you alot of you guys have experienced this, but today I found out that the property that I was most looking forward to hunt this fall was sold. Bluffs, streams, river, and big bucks, It was heaven on earth. At least I got to hunt it when I did. Took my best buck off of it. 184 gross non-typ. Just venting, like I said, I know alot of you guys have had the same experience.
 
yes i am experiencing this right now. the land that has a brother to this deer

and a few more bigguns on it, is up for sale right now. i was given first dibs on it but i can't afford it right now or i would buy it. it's absolutely killing me because i know this buck will score over 200" typical this year, assuming he will grow a rack this year. just plain sucks!!!

Yes it is Perry, Unofficially I have heard today that I may be able to hunt it until DEC 1. If it happens, that's great. But since I got that news I also found out that my best ginseng spot also got sold and I got a call from a farmer saying that he had to take down my treestand because he bulldozed it down this morning! But they're good people that own the farm, I can still hunt there. Another few days like this and I'll be out of hunting all together.

Perry, if there is a day next week when we could meet let me know. I'd like to get a stand and sticks from you.
 
Been there, definitely a bummer. At least you have a fair amount of public ground up there to fall back on. Pretty skimpy back here. I bet you won't have a tough time finding some new ground. Landowners seem to take to you law enforcement guys. A few of my friends on PD seem to get permission at every property they ask.

Yea River Bottom Boy I'm sure when the landowners see the firefighter licence on your vehicle they just shut you down.

i'm in the area (praire) a lot more than i want to be right now so i could bring them any time. just let me know when.....
