I was just curious to see if any of you own a Knight .36 caliber in-line rifle.
I have a very good friend that is an engineer for Knight in Centerville, Iowa. When he told me about it I just had to have one. So I purchased one from the factory five years ago and I must say I really like it.
I shoot a Hornaday .32 cal 85 HP/XTP grain projectile, MMP .312 sabot, and 50 grains of Triple Seven powder. Very accurate load, the 777 powder fouls the barrel less than other powders I have tried, thus improving accuracy. I find that I still need to spit patch the barrel after 3-4 shots to retain accuracy.
It is devastating on squirrels and rabbits, and with the one shot puts a new twist to hunting small game.
I have been thinking about using it on some coyotes this fall and winter. I am sure that it will put them right down with in 75 yards or less. With more practice maybe a little further.
Since I do not know anyone else that owns one I would like to hear from someone who does. What do you hunt with it? What is your favorite load?
