Knight Rifles Revived
Last July, Knight Rifles closed its doors and ceased production to the surprise and dismay of many muzzleloading enthusiasts and hunters.
Today, we're pleased to report that Knight Rifles has been acquired and plans are to get the company back into business.
Yesterday, word that PI Inc. had acquired the Knight Rifle Brand, intellectual properties and real estate in Centerville, Iowa. No word on the terms of that acquisition.
For the immediate future, however, we're told Knight will be relocated to Athens, Tennessee, hometown of PI, Inc.
<TABLE align=right><TBODY><TR><TD></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>According to PI's president, Jeff Beene, there's hope it will be a "seamless transition for all the loyal Knight Rifle customers."
"It will take a few days to get all the Knight Rifle goods moved to our facility," he said, "but we hope to be shipping orders next week."
Apparently PI's management team has more than a couple of Knight Rifle owners, and their experiences with Knights got them interested in the purchase. In fact, says Beene, "I'm impressed with my personal Knight Rifle, and wanted to breathe new life into the brand that started the muzzle loading world as we know it."
Immediate plans are to continue with the outstanding customer service that always seemed to be a Knight standard, with warranty work for all rifles except the KP1 and Revolution being handed in Knight's warranty center in Centreville. The KP1 and Revolution will be serviced from the Pradco Outdoor Brands facility in Decatur, Alabama.
According to Beene, plans are for Knight to return to its roots and once again manufacture the inline muzzleloaders that once dominated the market.
We'll keep you posted as that progresses.
