I know that he isn't the biggest deer in the woods but he was my first ever muzzleloader buck with my brand new gun. Shot at 8:05 a.m. on the opening morning of KS muzzleloader season in the pouring rain. It's been a long time since I've tried a new form of hunting and can say that I'm definatley hooked on the muzzleloader thing.
He came in with 5 other bucks (3 of which would have scored above 140 inches) but they didn't appear until after this one was already down. Oh well more for next year.
I have 3 more states left to hunt this year and between bow and gun season I should be able to have a crack at a big boy, but either way my season is made.
