Ladder stand lock

Looking for suggestions on ladder stand locks. I've used chains and cables but keep getting stands stolen. I'd like to figure something out to keep people from being able to climb up the ladder.

Get some lone wolf sticks or Big Game stagger steps. Bring them in and take them out when you leave. I doubt someone would carry in sticks to steal a stand. I do this on all my public ground stands

Take the bottom sections off! Pain in the arno! But if it's there they can climb it!!

I didn't read your post to well I guess. Taking off the lower sections is probably your only option
