Last year was Lane's first year to try turkey hunting. And that might of ben the hardest that i have hunted turkey ever. But we never ended up bagging a bird. So this year i really wanted to close the deal! For him of corse!
So i got him out of school early yesterday and we went down south to scout and try to find us a bird. We drove by one of the farms we hunt and around 6pm we glassed the field. We saw 2 nice toms working there way right to a spot that i like to set up the blind. So i knew that these birds were going to be real close in the morning since it was 6pm. So that's were we set up. There was no gobbling at all and i was starting to think we set up in the wrong spot. But after an hour of watching the boy play his DS, my dad hit me and said hear they come. The two toms came out the same place they did the night before , and they were working there way right to us. The rest are in the pictures. I got this all on film so i need to learn how to post that.
