That might depend on if your hunting public or privet ground. the public ground in my area gets pounded its hard to call a bird in during the late season.

Agree completely.
They all have their good days and bad days.
Each season has it's differences, from 1st's non pressured birds to 4th having cover to get close and hens on the nest. They get killed in every season though. It really just comes down to approaching a bird in the right situation and right mood. To do that sometimes it takes mutliple hunts to the same areas. Pick the seasons which allow you the most time in the timber and get after them. Picking up an archery tag and a 4th season gun tag is what I do also.
