What's the best strategy for late season bow hunting?

I wait a week or so after shotgun to let them settle down, pray for extremely cold weather, find where they are grouping up and eating, and find a good spot to set up. The trick is fooling all of the eyes and noses when they are grouped up. Challenging time to hunt but I sure see some whoppers!

Bowman is right on with his reply. One thing to add, if you are seeing deer but no bruisers, get closer to the bedding area if possible in hope of intercepting him right out of his bed.

its all about food and bedding areas, in the morning hunt close to the bedding areas where the big boys run from the food to the bedding area, then at night hunt the food, and as shredder said, might have to hunt in the timber a bit and closer to the bedding area.

Amen to all of the above, and if there is snow on the ground put on some snow camo. It is amazing how many deer you can stalked in their beds. I have never done it with a bow, but during the late muzzeloader I wish I had my bow. I have stalk to within 10 feet of deer bedded when they are facing away. I have also had alot of deer look at me but just lay there until I get within about 30 yards. The trick is see them before they see you, and move slow-slow-slow-slow. It takes a full day to hunt a 100 acre timber I like to hunt when you hunt like this, but it pays off big time!
