Great Photo! Its July and bucks you see now have their basic frame completed. If they are an 8-point, they will probably remain so. ( they may grow a sticker or two, but nothing too long) They still will add tine and beam length, along with mass, but the basic rack is what you see now. Get those cameras out there!
Have been very busy lately and last night was the first time I've been able to get out to my hunting spot in about a month here in Wisconsin. I saw a few dandies, one of which will be at least a 140 class 3.5 year old come fall. I scouted him last year - even getting a camtrakker photo of him squaring off against a 140 class that my brother ended up taking in Novermber. I even put up a few stands this winter along some of his trails leading from his bedding area, anticipating that I'd be going after him this coming fall.
I'm going to get the camtrakker set up this weekend...I'll try to get some pics.
Nothing like seeing a dandy in velvet to get pumped up for the bow season. While the rut seems like eons away, were only about 9 weeks from the bow opener here in Wisconsin.
