Law enforcement trail cam ????

I work a dope squad on the Az Mexico border. I’m looking for a budget friendly cell cam that’s dependable that has a smaller profile with quality video/pics. Cam would be deployed on high traffic areas and the targets will potentially steal anything that’s not nailed down. Curious if anyone has ideas? Also does anyone have any hides they use that blend in? A lot of the law enforcement hides are obvious and I’d worry about a unit getting made/desteoyed. GPS in cam unit would be a plus!

I think Reconyx is the major player in that market. Most of their business. I have never owned a reconcyx & I’m sure that’s not a cheap option.
I’ve ran CuddeLink & Tactacam & like those but maybe not what u need. I have hid cams by gluing bark or carpet to em & taking time to get em out of line of site & blended in. Works amazing & I don’t think anyone has ever seen the ones I hid.

Definitely get black flash and a good camo pattern..maybe Browning dark ops would work but I've had reliability issues and nighttime blur with them. Reconyx is great and I have 6-7. The problem with reconyx is they are not real small and the camo isn't the best. Plus the expense of reconyx.

That being said, they are also the only one that actually works properly 100% of the time. Hence their price and application in research projects and law enforcement. Expense certainly prices them out of many situations.

Reach out to Reconyx- they haven’t updated that line in a long time and I bet there is a market for it. Might even have a new product coming through the r&d pipeline. I bet they would love to hear what you need.

Stay safe and good luck.
