Arkansas Man Sues Over Cancellation of Turkey Hunt
A Conway, Ark. man is suing the state’s Game and Fish Commission over cancelling the state’s fall turkey hunt.
David Clark is suing because hunters didn’t have the opportunity to object on the cancellation and called the decision arbitrary and capricious.
The commission decided to close the fall turkey hunt last week due to concerns that the turkey population was getting too low. The spring turkey hunt was still projected to open.
A Game and Fish Commission spokesman declined comment on the lawsuit.
A hearing on the lawsuit is scheduled for Thursday in Wynne.
