Lenses fogging

I'm sure this has been covered before, but how do you keep eye glass and other optics from fogging over? I bought some stuff from Nikon that was supposed to just wipe on. It left a bad haze that I had to rub off. I'm getting tired of fogged over glass. It don't work well with a fogged over mind too.

Not much help now but I always see a booth at the State Fair that has that anti-fog stuff. Last year when I was scubba diving they had me spit on the inside of the goggles to prevent them from fogging. But you probably dont want to do that!!

I have used Fog-X,the same people that make Rain-X for car windshields and seems to work. You can pick it up at most automotive parts stores.

I've tried every "anti-fog" solution know to man. I aint' found nothing that works really good. The best I've found, and it only works in about 70% of the situations that I find myself in, is called Bumpa's Blue Magic. I bought it at a trade show. If you want I could see if I could find a web address or phone number on the bottle and send it to you.

Bumpa, yeah! I've seen him and his daughter at just about every gun show and deer show in Iowa.

That would be great.

I've got the rain-x stuff and it says not to use it on plastics and I'm pretty sure the lenses in my hunting frames are plastic.

Corn Fed fixed me up a couple of years back with contacts, I liked them alot but my eyes got too dry in the wind and my binos still fogged over.

Thanks for the replies.

I've been using an anti-fog product made by International Performers Inc. out of Hudson Florida. The stuff works great, you can walk out of freezing temperatures into a hot room & no fogging. Works great on scopes too when your heavy breathing takes over you as a huge buck approaches!

Use Shaving Cream, for a test run before you take a shower rub some on your mirror then wipe it off, take a shower and see the results. It works like champ

And I know you got shaving cream Bonks with your scent control techniques

Take a good quality lens cloth.

I too have tried just about everything to keep my optics crisp and clear in all weather...doesn't happen. I truly believe you get what you pay for in optics and have found even with top quality glass condensation still happens.

Take care,
Chris
