License question?

Can i buy a turkey tag for another person? I would like to buy a tag for a friend of mine to help him out and surpirse him with it but i don't know if i can do that. He already has his 2004 hunting license and habitat.

I doubt it- you have to sign a copy at the time of issue.

I doubt it however you might give me, oh, I mean...him a gift certificate to somewhere that sells licenses for the amount of the license. Just a thought.

...YES!...you just need his/her DNR number or SS # and birthdate (if I remember correctly)...yes s/he needs to sign it to make it valid but that does not have to happen when you purchase the tag or license...

I have alway purchased my wifes fishing license and all I have ever done is sign the carbon copy and put my initials by it and she signs the original.It has always been accepted by the vendor.

Thats right I bought my wife and kids' tags this year. takes a while to get 4 tags but thats the worst of it as long as you have their #'s.
