lightfield slugs

Do you have a rifled barrel or are you shooting a smoothbore? If you have rifled, they should shoot pretty good. If smoothbore, I would shoot the cheap old remington sluggers or winchesters.

forgot to tell you i do have a rifled barrel..i was looking at brenneke also but noone around me sells them..may just stick with the lightfields
 
Just a suggestion...I don't know if you have made up your mind on what you are going to shoot or not but I have heard from quite a few people that the new Hornady slugs with the ballistic tip are the real deal.
 
ALAN, I HAVE AN 870 EXPRESS SUPER MAGNUM (IT HAS A RIFLED BORE) AND HAVE BEEN HUNTING DEER WITH IT FOR ABOUT 6 YEARS NOW. I HAVE ALWAYS SHOT WINCHESTER 3 INCH MAGNUM SLUGS OUT OF IT AND HAVE HAVE VERY GOOD LUCK. HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT THAT OPTION? FEDERAL ALSO WORKED FOR ME BUT WERE MORE EXPENSIVE.
 
yeah ive thought about going with WINCHESTER. i still might yet just was wondering about them lightfields..how much do you pay for them winchesters? if its only a buck more than the lightfields i may go with winchester... thanks guys alan
 
i went out today and brought 2 boxes of winchesters super x..XRS12..ill give these a try and see how they perform then ill try the lightfields and if those dont perform ill buy buckhammers.. thanks guys alan
