Little Deer with No Ears

Has anyone ever seen a deer with no ears? It just looks like the hairs of its ears are hanging out and that's it.
Anyone know what could cause it? Was with another fawn that looked totally normal. Fawns were together, but no mother.

Could be the angle of his ears when it took the picture?

I took the photo from up in the tree, was like the 3rd or 4th time seeing the deer with no ears.
