I AM NOT SEEING AS MANY BUCKS ROAMING RIGHT NOW AS I THOUGHT I WOULD, BEING NEW TO IOWA, IS THIS COMMON? DO THE BUCKS RESPOND TO ANY RATTLING OR DOE BLEATS? WHAT IS YOUR BEST SUGGESTION FOR BRINGING IN THE BIG ONES AT THIS POINT? YOUR INPUT IS APPRICIATED. THANKS
 
I would have to say if they are tending a doe it will be hard to bring them away from her. The best thing to do in that situation is pray that the doe brings him within shooting range. I have seen quite a few bucks this past weekend tending does though.
 
Hunt the does. Many bucks are now paired up with the does. But, they have to move on sometime. Be ready. And . . you probably oughta unlock your caps key.

One thing you might want to try is actually taking a hunt off and try driving around so you can locate the does. That's what i did and found a good group of them so I went to the treestand by where they were and wah lah thats where the big boy was but murphy's law set in( what can go wrong will) and did.
