Lone Wolf Elite Hang On

Anybody used the LW new oversized hang-on? Just curious, huge platform and bigger seat. Thought it might be good for my son since he doesn't care for heights and it would be plenty big.

How old is your son? I remember the first time I was in a treestand. It is hard to shoot when you are holding on to the tree... LOL!

I have no experience with them but would imagine they are rock solid like the rest of their stands.

He is 10, second year hunting now. He wants to bow hunt next year and has asked about getting in a tree stand. We have stayed on the ground so far. This LW Elite is big enough he could go for a walk up there. I like using my Cabelas bucks each year to buy a Lone Wolf and this one is about $60 more, but a good bit heavier according to web site. May just have to try it out, he is the best excuse to buy new hunting gear!!

I would imagine it would get him used to being in the air and have a good bit of room. Let us know how it works out for him.

Put him up about 10 feet or so for his first few excursions and see how he feels.

You should buy him a stand. And put it up in the yard and get him shooting out of it. Slowly move it up from 3ft to 12ft or more. it will make comfortable and a better shot.
