Lone Wolf Sit and Climb

How is it for comfort? I love my LW Hang On, but am looking for a little more comfort for those longer sits. The sit and climb looks to have a comfortable seat that would make those longer sits much easier. Yes, No? I know it's a great stand, just looking for your thoughts.

What is your opinion on the most comfotable stand for an all day hunt? I just get so dang fidgity if I'm not completely comfortable after a few hours. Thanks!

I have 2 climbers...the Lone Wolf Sit-N-Climb and the Summit Goliath.

In my opinion, for portability and silence, the Lone Wolf can't be beat. For COMFORT...the Summit is the clear winner.

Both are great stands and I use them both, although the Summit gets the nod more often as it has the most comfortable seat of the two and the most room once the temps drop and the extra clothing goes on. The Lone Wolf is just a little too narrow in the seat for a really big guy like me then....it may HOLD 350# but I haven't seen a 300 lb. plus guy with an a$$ that narrow yet!

I can't comment on the climbers, b/c there practicality has prevented me from ever using one, but as far as hang on stands go, its hard to beat Gorilla's King Kong wtih the air ride seat and foot rest.

The only thing I didn't like about the Lone Wolf climer was the tiny adjustment knob on it. I thought it was a pain to get a good grip on and couldn't imagine how hard it would be to do with frozen fingers or gloves on.

Ryan,
Do you have the new seat for the LW alpha hang-on? If you don't I would suggest looking into it. They are worth it in comfort in my opinion. There is a big difference.

Limb, I got my LW last October that had the grey seat, not the old foam (?) one. Is that the one your talking about? It's not so much the seat, it's the sitting straight up for 5+ hours with your back flat against the tree. My lower back starts to get really tight and then I start moving around. The sit and climb looks to have a more cradled set for your butt, which looks more comfortable.

I just looked at the sit and climb last night again..I just don't know if I'm sold on it. I need to actually sit in one and Sportsmans Warehouse didn't have it low enough to sit in without moving a bunch of crap around.

I agree w/ Limb about the new seat from Lone Wolf. I also have a Summit Goliath that is comfortable but a pain to carry. It won't get much more use as I really think the lone Wolf w/ the new seat is much more comfortable and much easier to pack.
